EAMICRETE AMB 500
Corrosion Inhibitor Organic Based & High Range Water Reducing Concrete Admixture
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
EAMICRETE AMB 500 is corrosion inhibitor & superplasticizer that chemically inhibit the corrosion process of steel reinforcement in concrete when exposed to chloride ions or in marine environment as well as reduces the mixing water to produce impermeable concrete. It is based upon organic polymers, amines and other additive to improve its performance. It is suitable to be used with mineral admixtures for concrete, e.g. silica fume, fly ash… etc.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
EAMICRETE AMB 500 is formulated as corrosion inhibitor and superplasticizer. It chemically inhibits the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete matrix. It also to reduce the mixing water up to 20% at least and to produce high quality concrete for:
-
Marine structures.
-
Parking decks & garages.
-
Bridge decks.
-
Slabs and floors.
-
Exposed balconies.
-
Structural and plain concrete.
-
All types of steel reinforcement including pre-cast & pre-stressed and post-tension concrete.
PRODUCT FEATURES
-
Premium corrosion protection of the steel reinforcement in concrete matrix.
-
Adsorbed onto the steel reinforcement to form a protective film.
-
Provides corrosion protection against high concentrations of chlorides & waterborne salts, de-icing or marine salts.
-
Reduced the mixing water, performs as concrete superplasticizer, up to 20 %.
-
Improves workability.
-
Formulated to enable the use of mineral concrete admixtures (e.g. pozzolanic materials such as silica fume)
-
Extend service life of steel reinforcement concrete.
-
Improves the early strengths as well as the ultimate strengths.
-
Extended slump retention.
-
Increases mix cohesion.
-
Improves durability and reduces permeability.
-
Improves surface finishes.
