PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

EAMIGARD AR Silk is superior quality pure acrylic emulsion based protective coating for concrete and masonry substrates. EAMIGARD AR Silk provides a durable long last silk finish with low dirt pick-up, elastomeric film, unique UV resistance & carbon dioxide (CO2) barrier.
EAMIGARD AR Silk contains most effective ingredients available to help resist mold and mildew growth.
To reach optimum performance, it is recommended to use EAMIGARD PRIME SEAL or EAMIGARD SA 80.
These primers will penetrate and stabilize the substrate. The selection of each will be influenced by the weatherproof requirements, the profile of the substrate, its porosity and conditions:
EAMIGARD PRIME SEAL: Weatherproof acrylic emulsion, alkali & efflorescence resistant penetrating primer & sealer for mineral substrate and masonry surfaces.
EAMIGARD SA 80: Water-repellent silane-siloxane acrylic emulsion, alkali & efflorescence resistant penetrating primer & sealer for mineral substrate and masonry surfaces. See separate Data Sheet.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

EAMIGARD AR Silk is formulated as single component with an elastomeric superior quality, designed for easy application with brush and roller or airless spray equipment for:

  • Protect exposed reinforced concrete structures from attack by acid gases, chloride ions, oxygen and water, especially where there is a danger of subsequent cracks.

  • Protect cement based substrates and masonry surfaces especially coastal 
    buildings.

  • Top coat in complete repair and protection systems for concrete.

  • ​Where decorative facade is required.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Easy to apply by brush, roller or spray.

  • Solvent-free, odourless non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

  • Very good adhesion to all masonry substrates.

  • Provides elastomeric and crack-bridging properties enabling to absorb expansion and shrinkage movements without cracking.

  • Mold & mildew resistant coating.

  • Provides an excellent CO2 diffusion resistance and hence reduces the rate of carbonation.

  • Excellent barrier to chloride ions, oxygen and water.

  • Dirt pick-up resistant.
